About Easter Seals Bay Area

Since 1927, Easter Seals Bay Area has been leading the way to ensure individuals and families affected by disabilities can live, learn, work, and play to their full potential.  Easter Seals Bay Area has a specific expertise in providing services for individuals and families affected by autism, including consultation, early intervention, school-based, social skills and therapeutic services.  The organization also runs the highly-regarded Kaleidoscope After-School Program in the Tri-Valley, the California Department of Education certified, non-public school Lily Learning Center in Dixon, and the nationally-accredited, Healthy Environments Child Development Center in San Francisco.  Easter Seals Bay Area serves seven counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Solano Counties, and is an affiliate of Easter Seals Inc., which assists more than a million people through a nationwide network of affiliates in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.  Easter Seals Bay Area is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The mission Easter Seals Bay Area  is to expand the organization’s impact throughout the Bay Area in the lives of children with disabilities and their families. The vision is that by providing a continuum of the highest-quality, inclusive services available anywhere in the Bay Area, Easter Seals Bay Area can ensure:

  • All children with disabilities will receive the customized, educational, and therapeutic services needed to gain the skills necessary for active participation in their communities;
  • All families of children with disabilities will receive the support they need to have peace of mind, assured that their children are receiving the best educational and therapeutic care available anywhere in the Bay Area; and
  • All children with physical or developmental disabilities will have access to the highest-quality, customized, educational, and therapeutic activities, enabling them to maximize their independence, regain mobility, reduce pain, and maintain optimum health.
